MGM - Face not Butt Detail

Title:
Face-Not-Your-Butt Christmas Card

Client:

Client’s Business:
Advertising
Rationale:
Every party may have a pooper, but every office party has that one person whose pooper ends up on the photocopier (probably after one too many Christmas cocktails). Playing off of this well-known anecdote, we wanted to encourage clients to celebrate the season by utilizing the office equipment every employee loves to hate in a more creative and festive fashion. By providing a few choice examples and a die-cut beard as a starter prop, this print card begged for interaction and memory making, sans “butts.”

Rationale:
To celebrate the Saskatchewan Legislative Building's 100th Anniversary, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education wanted an innovative and engaging piece to teach grade 5 students in the province about the building and its history.

A fully illustrated, graphic maquette of the Legislative Building was created from original architectural drawings. The die, design and construction of the model is completely original. The students could then punch out and build the model for themselves. It's interactive and coincided with other lessons in the unit on the Legislative Building and its history.

Client:
Synergy Credit Union
Client’s Business:
Financial
Rationale:
THE CHALLENGE: What’s “cool” to basically an entire population?
THE BRIEF: Develop a free branded item that would be delivered within non-traditional campaign. More focus on a younger demographic – which means avoiding obvious corporate statements and branding.
THE DELIVERY: With a general theme of “Synergy Likes to Share” – and a summer tour was born! The tour covered local events throughout the client’s territory, and staff gave away prizes, including popsicles. The main focus for the “free stuff” was the irreverent visuals which included little to no corporate branding. The corporate colour scheme and campaign visuals were all that was needed to make these pieces wearable by the general public. This component helped the Summer of Swag become one of the most successful campaigns in Synergy’s history.

Client:
SaskTel
Client’s Business:
Telecommunications
Rationale:
SaskTel wanted to reach their existing business customers to let them know about 10 calling features that would help them be more efficient handling phone calls. The challenge was creating a mail piece that would be noticed and passed to key decision makers that would be interested in the services. A voice recorded mail piece was made that reminded business owners of the frustrations their customers can have when they are unable to get a hold of them. The piece asked the question, "sound familiar?" to invoke the reader to open the message where they are surprised by the video recording. This was designed to spark a conversation within an office around features that are normally overlooked and to create a buying decision.
